Cape Town Weave, is a celebration of Cape Town and is based on a street map of the city center. Roads, manmade structures and natural features connect as threads, weaving together the patterning of this port city. Four circles show the places where I have had my print studio (over the past 30 years).

Fabricnation was established in 2007, but it has its roots in a bond forged two decades earlier when its designers, Jane Solomon and Jann Cheifitz began designing and printing together in a garage. Jane and Jann are inspired by the African textile tradition, rendered in a modern urban context with its blending of diverse sources and influences to create the fabric of a nation.

Four Aces, is a mix of images; mealies, cards, stars and fish. Inspiration from the packaging of basic South African household products combine to create a strip repeat wallpaper evocative of West African textiles.

This collection showcases an interpretation of selected Fabricnation textile designs. Colour and scale has been adapted to create fresh wallpapers.

The After the Fire, jade design was created after the 2015 Cape mountain fires. Destructive as it is, fire, sets in motion a chain of biological events which ensure the survival of Fynbos. The Protea’s woody cones are opened by the heat and release precious seeds.
