My name is Paula Pappenheim, I hail from Madrid and I am deeply passionate about art and illustration. I am especially in love with the world of pattern design. Hence, in 2006, I founded Pappenpop, a studio specializing in illustration and surface patterns for fashion or products such as home textiles, wallpaper, carpets, tiles and all imaginable everyday objects.

Inspired by the masterpieces at the Rijksmuseum, I designed a very rich and romantic collection that softly mixes ornaments, textures and colours, that could transport us back to that Golden Age, yet project a contemporary style and sophisticated sensation. Hence the colour palette reflects the colours of the landscape of the Netherlands, filtered by its mystic and foggy skies, rainy days and moist landscapes. They seem almost under water, even the rosier, warmer tones that represent the flowery quality of its countryside. Flowers, ornaments and textures living under water and flourishing with endless life.

This collection takes us with ease on a journey through time thanks to its classic imagery and subtle beauty. Being capable of embellishing contemporary homes to fill them with magic and romance.

The Clinton Friedman label was rendered by a deep passion for the craft of image making (photography & design). Merging these affections with a spirit for nature and travel inspired the character of all Clinton Friedman products.

Clinton Friedman has a natural curiosity toward the delicacy, strength, and complexity found in both the natural and the man-made worlds. “I relish stopping time in any environment: beneath the ocean, on top of a mountain pass, hanging out of a helicopter, exploring a garden, or in my studio. I choose sometimes to take the familiar and make it seem new, I try to go beyond the surface to celebrate nuance and depth, and to surprise. I see my designs and images as sometimes romantic but never sentimental; gritty but never crude; contemporary but never superficially fashionable. Expect the unexpected…”

Nicki Ellis is the dynamic and creative force behind the proudly local bespoke homeware and décor studio, Love Milo that specialises in ceramic, wooden, glass and textile products. While completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in motion picture at AFDA, specialising in cinematography and visual design, Nicki started her career as a freelance photographer in 2002, working on various fashion brands, stores and product launches. After having her photography work featured in various galleries around Cape Town, Nicki trained under David Grant as a telecine grader. She was then hired as a full-time grader for television commercials, feature films and music videos at Condor Post Productions, which later became Waterfront Studios. There, she spent 5 years honing her craft and nurturing her eye for colour composition, working with notable brands such as BMW, Woolworths, Nestle, Coke and Vodacom.

In 2010 Nicki found out that she was pregnant with her son, Milo. This exciting news motived Nicki to create for herself and to begin on a journey her son could be inspired by, so she took the leap and started her own homeware and design brand Love Milo. Nicki’s exceptional and unique eye for detail and passion for beautiful design is reflected in the rapid success of the business: within 2 years the brand grew massively from a start up to supplying décor items to wholesale to both national and global retailers, working with retailers on custom designed products as well as operating a highly successful online consumer business.
